Common areas include burnout, loneliness, stress, pastoral challenges, leadership fatigue, spiritual discouragement, and maintaining balance in ministry.
No. Many priests seek support simply to receive fortification to listen well, preach with greater impact, navigate challenges in the confessional, and lead with compassion.
Yes. Our approach integrates psychology, theology, and philosophy, grounded in the teachings of St. John Paul II and the Catholic Church. All psychological principles are understood and applied through a faithful Catholic perspective, ensuring care that is both clinically informed and spiritually aligned.
All Integrated Life Foundation (ILF) mentors are trained, certified, and continually supervised through the Catholic Psych Institute. Their formation integrates psychology, spirituality, and philosophy through a comprehensive training program that includes 12 courses (36 credit hours), supervised mentorship, practicum experience, and Capstone executive expert coaching. In addition to their initial certification, ILF mentors receive ongoing supervision and support to ensure they provide effective, compassionate, and professionally grounded mentorship.
Priests can contact us through the Integrated Life Foundation website or by email at [email protected] to schedule a confidential introductory conversation. During this conversation, we will discuss your needs and help determine the best path of support. You will then be paired with a Priest mentor trained in the IDDM model (or a lay mentor upon request), complete a comprehensive intake questionnaire, and work together to develop a personalized mentorship plan.
You and your mentor will set up a private communication channel using an App called Voxer, which allows you to leave personal voice messages back and forth - with daily responses from your mentor.
Yes. The IDDM model is designed with the realities of priestly life in mind. You can access the Voxer app 24/7 when you need help most and without leaving the rectory.
Yes. We have found that making an investment in the program encourages greater commitment and consistency in the mentorship process. Regular engagement often leads to deeper growth, stronger support, and more meaningful long-term outcomes. Participation also helps sustain the ministry and make mentorship available to future priests seeking support. The average cost is $100/month which includes the cost of the Voxer app. Scholarships are available if needed.
