Traditional Therapy

Isn't Enough

The prevailing approach to mental health care, dominated by a secular and disintegrated worldview, falls dramatically short.

Current Approaches:

  • Neglect God, biology, and the soul

  • Are overly reliant on medication

  • Affirm mental issues as immutable parts of personality

  • Are built on a 60 minutes once-a-week model that is useful for tweaking, but not transformation

  • Operate from a secular and disintegrated view of the human person

Embracing an Integrated, Catholic Approach

The Integrated Life Foundation champions holistic and innovative models of care that see the human person as a composite of body, mind, and soul. This approach is designed to facilitate lasting healing and human flourishing.

We Serve Priests

The demands on Catholic priests are greater than ever. From parish mergers to personal isolation, spiritual dryness to emotional burnout — the need for transformative accompaniment is urgent.

That’s why we’ve developed three integrated offerings to renew the heart of the priesthood.

It has, without question, changed my life. It has altered the whole course of my priesthood and I’m so grateful.

— Fr. Sam Kachuba

Serving In 3 Ways

1. Healing the Mind. Nourishing the Soul.

24/7 Accompaniment offers a priest daily, confidential, and authentically Catholic support that respects both his humanity and his sacred calling through:

Daily Conversations with a trained priest from a different diocese who integrates clinical psychology with Catholic spirituality.

A personalized pathway for healing from burnout, wounds, crisis, or simply for his own growth.

Strengthening priests to find peace in their identity, confidence to live the mission, and healthy boundaries in ministry.

This isn’t just secular therapy. It’s integrated accompaniment rooted in faith, led by someone who understands the unique burdens of the priesthood.

2. Fostering Spiritual & Emotional Wellbeing

Priests often struggle to identify their needs and meet them before it turns into burnout or breakdown. Our comprehensive Priest Health Assessment provides a clear, compassionate, and confidential diagnostic process

Assessments of mental health, physical health, leadership skills, and spiritual well-being.

Immediate post-assessment suggestions for next steps and long-term support options based on the results.

Designed in collaboration with dioceses, religious communities, and trusted clergy advisors.

This tool is offers priests a confidential, targeted help before a problem becomes a crisis.

3. Forming Integrated Men for Mission.

The CPMAP Formation is a two-year journey of human and spiritual formation that equips priests to flourish in ministry and become mentors themselves.

A select cohort of priests receives formation in Catholic anthropology, psychological insight, emotional resilience, and spiritual maturity without having to leave their assignment.

Guided by trusted Catholic Mentors and formators from the CatholicPsych Institute.

Built to create peer support, lifelong tools, and a renewed sense of brotherhood in the priesthood.

Includes personal mentorship, group intensives, retreats, and advanced coursework.

This program is a long-term investment in the interior life and leadership capacity of our priests, enabling them to live out their vocation with resilience and joyful fidelity to the call.

Working Together

To accomplish this mission, ILF is partnering with Chrism Ministries and the CatholicPsych Institute to renew vocations and transform Priests.

The CatholicPsych Institute

Founded by Dr. Greg Bottaro, the CatholicPsych Institute is training our Priest Mentors in a groundbreaking model of care called daily accompaniment. These Mentors are trained, supervised, and formed on an ongoing basis so they remain healthy and equipped to walk with their brother priests in need.
